VouchMatch is operated by TechAlpha Global Innovations Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Hyderabad, India. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform at www.vouchmatch.in.

1. Information We Collect

When you register and use VouchMatch, we may collect the following types of information:

• Personal Identification: Full name, email address, phone number, city, and date of birth.
• Professional Information: Educational qualifications, passout year, work experience, skills, and technology stack.
• Assessment Data: Interview scores, skill verification results, and assessment recordings (if applicable).
• Payment Information: Plan selection and transaction references. We do not store full card or bank details — payments are processed by third-party gateways.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and IP address.
• Communications: Messages sent to us via contact forms, email, or chat.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your candidate profile on VouchMatch.
• Verify your technical skills through our assessment process.
• Match your verified profile with relevant hiring companies.
• Process verification plan payments and issue receipts.
• Communicate updates about your profile status, matches, or interviews.
• Send platform-related notifications and service announcements.
• Improve our platform, services, and user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law.

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing or sell it to advertisers.

3. Sharing of Data

Your data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Hiring Companies: Once you are verified, your profile (name, skill score, technology stack, experience) is shared with client companies actively looking to hire. You will be informed before your profile is shared.
• TechAlpha Global Innovations: As the parent company operating VouchMatch, they have access to platform data for operations and refund processing (Success plan).
• Service Providers: We use Supabase (database), Google (OAuth login), and payment gateways strictly for platform functionality. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government authority in India.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request account deletion via the VouchMatch mobile app (Settings → Delete my account) or by emailing legal@vouchmatch.in, your account enters a 7-day grace period during which you may cancel by signing back in. After 7 days, your profile, interviews, and applications are permanently deleted. Payment records and transaction history are retained for tax and audit compliance as required by Indian law.

5. Cookies

VouchMatch uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

• Maintain your login session securely.
• Remember your preferences.
• Understand how users interact with the platform (analytics).

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect certain platform features such as staying logged in.

6. Your Rights

As a user of VouchMatch, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. You can do this directly from the VouchMatch mobile app (Settings → Delete my account) with a 7-day grace window, or by emailing us.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw Consent: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

VouchMatch is intended for individuals who have completed their education (passout year 2024 or earlier) and are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately at hello@vouchmatch.in.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• HTTPS encryption across all pages and API calls.
• Secure authentication via Supabase and Google OAuth.
• Role-based access controls limiting internal data access.
• Regular security reviews of our platform and infrastructure.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is completely immune to security risks. We encourage you to use a strong password and not share your login credentials.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of VouchMatch after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Mobile Application

The VouchMatch mobile app (Android, iOS) collects the same categories of data listed above. Additionally:

• Device Permissions: The app may request access to your camera and microphone during live technical interviews, and storage access to upload your resume. You can deny these permissions, but related features will be unavailable.
• Payment Processing: In-app plan purchases are processed via PayU, India's licensed payment gateway. We never store full card or UPI credentials on our servers. Transaction references are kept for tax compliance.
• Push Notifications: If enabled, we may send notifications about your interview schedule, scores, or placement updates. You can disable notifications from your phone's settings at any time.
• Crash & Analytics: We collect anonymized crash reports to improve app stability. No personally identifiable information is included.
